The store hours are currently Tuesday-Thursday 12 pm-6 pm, Friday 12 pm-8 pm, Saturday 11 am-8 pm, Sunday 12 pm-6 pm, closed on Monday. They carry board games like Catan, Ticket to Ride, Munchkin, Mansions of Madness, Lord of the Rings, etc. Wolf Den has some collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon (just got their first box), and a locally produced game called Marching Band-imals. They carry role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Stargate SG-1, Dune, and Edge of the Empire. For miniatures games, they carry Warhammer: 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Star Wars: Legion, Star Wars: X-Wing, Marvel Crisis Protocol, and Wild West Exodus. Also, Wolf Den carries a variety of dice and other gaming accessories. They even have play space available for customers. As long as Covid mitigation practices are in place (mask-wearing in the store) there will be no charge for use of the space during business hours. The gaming space is coming together with a new special gaming table, and a mural depicting a pandemic D&D party. The owner is hoping that this space and this store can bring the joy of gaming with friends to the Abingdon community. They currently have a variety of theme nights that can be found on their Facebook page and Discord. Post-pandemic they hope to plan on hosting small tournaments and narrative events. Sports Complex Sponsorship Opportunities
We are excited about the completion of our new sports complex that brings first-class recreation to our community. This state-of-the-art athletic facility will enhance the quality of life in Abingdon and the entire region for generations to come. Additionally, it will provide local businesses with significant economic opportunities through increased visitors to this destination.
The Meadows Sports Complex will support our local teams and families, and provide traveling youth and adult sports teams the ability to compete in baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and other tournaments on our multi-purpose playing fields. When visiting The Meadows for an event, participants are accompanied by family members who are spending money on items such as food, lodging, and entertainment. This will have a significant economic impact for both the Town of Abingdon and Washington County.
Becoming a sponsor for The Meadows Sports Complex allows your business or organization to be a part of every visitor’s experience. It allows them to gain access to what you are about, and how you are committed to serving your community. Each visitor could be your next customer or referral through word-of-mouth or the instant share through social media.
We hope you will join the Town of Abingdon in supporting the future of our community and the people we serve. We offer many levels of sponsorships that make it possible for individuals and businesses to get involved. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please call Director of Recreation Jennifer Johnson at 276-623-5279.
Sincerely,
James Morani
Town Manager
