Small Business Spotlight- The Girl and The Raven

🌟Small Business Spotlight🌟
The Girl and The Raven is a new and vibrant café located at 380 East Main Street, in the old Zazzy’z Coffeehouse. They pride themselves on premium coffee and a unique culinary experience. Their menu promotes southern roots with a global influence. Located in an 1886 historic building, they have a pick-up window, a sleek bar area, and expanded outdoor dining for guests to enjoy homemade baked goods, fresh-pressed juices, sandwiches, expressos, gluten-free items, much more. Check out their menu on their website- https://thegirlandtheravencafe.com/
While visiting for the spotlight feature, we tried the fresh-pressed juice made with oranges, pineapple, ginger, and carrot, which we highly recommend for our non-coffee drinkers. It is fresh and full of vitamin C, and we all need more of that these days for our immune system. The Sorghum Spice Cookie tastes like a warm pumpkin pie. For the coffee drinkers, try the Flat White, and ask to watch it be made because their personal touches make the whole experience.
Be sure to say hello to the owners, Cillian and Ariane Hegarty, they moved here from Manhattan pre-COVID. Ariane has Southwest Virginia roots and lived in Manhattan for many years perusing her career.
Stop by The Girl and The Raven to experience this vibrant café, grab a coffee, and relax in the Abingdon ambiance!

Small Business Spotlight- Abingdon General Store

Small Business Spotlight

As we kick-off the Small Business Spotlight, we are featuring the Abingdon General Store that recently opened at 252 West Main Street (across from The Peppermill). They have several vendors offering local goods, homemade items, SWVA gear, and much more. If you are a big supporter of the Fetching Apparel brand, they have you covered. They are looking for more vendors to expand their business so reach out if you are interested in selling your wares. This unique store brings an old/new vibe to the downtown area especially with the rustic/industrial look of the inside of the building.

Stop into the Abingdon General Store to get a glass-bottled drink and a pack of peanuts!
