The Town of Abingdon seeks bids for Lease of Property for a two-year period. Enclosed with this Request for Proposals are documents with the following titles: “General Terms & Conditions”, “Formal RFP for Leasing Real Property” and “Attachments”.
QUESTIONS: Questions must be submitted in writing to the Contract Manager seven (7) business days prior to the specified closing date. An electronic message may be submitted to aclifton@abingdon-va.gov. If necessary, an addendum will be issued and posted here. It is the responsibility of the offeror to download any addendum.
SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE RECEIVED UNTIL, 4:00 pm, prevailing local time on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Town Municipal Building, First Floor, 133 West Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia.

Abingdon Recycle Day August 28, 2021
Abingdon Recycle Day
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, the Town of Abingdon Sustain Abingdon Committee and Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful will hold an Abingdon Recycle Day. This event will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 314 Depot Square, Abingdon. There will be E-Waste Recycling, Document Shredding, and Aluminum Can Recycling, all of which will be FREE. *Open to Town of Abingdon residents and business owners only. You will need to bring an id or utility bill, to show proof of address.
